Aside from the selection and timing, the winter brings in the LOWEST prices of the year.  Manufactures have added in rebates on both boats and motors.  Scarab Jet Boats have rebates up to $3,000 off.  Island Watersports also discounts all of their Berkshire and Scarab boats.  You can save over $14,000 depending on boat and motor combinations.

Don't forget about the added protection of extended warranties.  Mercury motors for instance is offered 5 years of coverage on Mercury Outboards sold through Island Watersport.  Likewise, BRP Rotax (the powerplant in Scarab Jet Boats) has extended warranties to 5 years.
