The First Scarab Open Arrived
Island Watersports is extremely excited to have just received our first Scarab 195 Open, the newest boat in the Scarab Jet Boat line up!
The new Scarab 195 Open is arguably the best suited boat for our local area. Unlike just about every other center console boat, this boat is not powered by an outboard motor. The Open uses a Rotax jet drive engine. This means no dangerous propeller and only 12" of draft sitting stopped in the water while far less underway! The cock pit still offers plenty of room for the family and friends with bow seating, forward console seating, a helm facing leaning post, along with two fold down seats next the leaning post.
Perhaps one of the most unique, and my personal favorite, features is the drop down transom tail gate. Folded it protects items in the boat from falling out at speed. However, folded down adds an extra long swim platform to the boat. The tailgate is perfect for sun bathing, watching the kids swim, and climbing back in the boat.
Another rare item in a 19' boat such as this is a fully enclosed head. Lift the front console seat to find a spacious enclosed head that is large enough to change clothes as well.
If your into watersports, the Scarab Open should also be at the top of your list! The 250hp Rotax packs plenty of power to pull any tube, wakeboarder, or water skier right out of the water. The factory option T-top also have a tow point on the top giving ideal tow rope angles. A water ballast system is also a factory option to provide a large wake.
Of course we haven't forgotten but the Scarab Open is also a center console that is more than capable of putting fish on the deck. Rod storage was not forget with top gunnel mounted rod holders, t-top mounted rod holders, as well as interior gunnel rod storage. The shallow draft will get you into the best spots around our bays. Front and rear casting seats are also available.
Now that you have read about, you need to stop into Island Watersports in Fenwick Island to take a look at this boat in person.
